The Electrodeionization (EDI) technology integrates seamlessly with reverse osmosis and other purification systems to meticulously extract ions from water. Within the EDI module, the ion exchange resin is bifurcated into working resin and polishing resin. The 'working front' is the demarcation line where these two resins meet. The 'working resin' handles the removal of most ions, while the 'polishing resin' targets the more challenging ions, such as weak electrolytes, ensuring their efficient removal. The ultrapure water generated can achieve impressive resistivity levels of 15-18.25 MΩ·cm, and the EDI systems are adaptable for both continuous and intermittent operations.
